yes, your refrigerator's running

It's been awhile since F$ put anything out into the blogopolis, but in honor of the bustling autumn of music we'll now be embarking upon, as well as widespread demands for an increased web presence (3Sam!), here we go.
After a sadly drummerless summer, the Fridge has been back in action since the beginning of September. Little bit of this little bit of that, thoroughly enjoying the new venues popping up all over town. We've got Buffalo Bill's, the Bunker, the Bakery (which hosted arguably the greatest shin-dig in Burlington's recent history with Friends and Family/Leopard Shepherd's Wedge Comp 2 Release Show), The Arson Gallery, and more and more and hopefully even more as the scene heats up. Just last night F$, the Slopsters, and THE JITTERS(!) christened the Bunker, another step in the right direction for house venues in ye olde North End. NEXT WEEK DON'T MISS HAPPY JAWBONE FAMILY BAND AND JOEY PIZZA SLICE at this very same abode, supported by The Slopsters and yours truly. That shit is going down FRIDAY OCTOBER 7. The town will be shaking in excitement the whole week.
Also on the Fridge agenda for October are several shows with some New York bands, the first of which is October 14th at Buffalo Bill's with Nick Dooley and company's Flagland, the next is October 21st with Nelsonvillains (lookin like The Arson Gallery will be the lucky house hosting this one), and for Halloween weekend we will actually be traveling to the big city itself, playing a house in Queens and maybe stopping off somewhere upstate or in southern New England on our way up or down. Somewhere amidst all that is an alumni fiesta thrown by wruv. Wooooo hoooo!
Recording plans abound for November, so hopefully you'll have some fresh Fridge cuts to spin this winter!
If you would like Fridge and the spin$ to make noise in your house, email Fridge.and.the.spins@gmail.com and we will make it happen.
Til we meet again,
spin and the fridges.
